Aaron: Patriot HS Graduate

Aaron was a late transfer to Patriot HS, but his dad really wanted to have his senior year photos documented at the Mission Inn. Of course I was more than happy to help them with their request. And on that note, here’s Aaron….

Annette & Eddie

This past week saw two more great HS seniors get their graduation pictures done with me at the Mission Inn: Annette and Eddie. I’m wishing all the best to the young lady and gentleman as they move on to great things.

OERM Ironhorse Steampunk Festival

The Orange Empire Railroad Museum on March 19 hosted the IEPPV to photograph the Steampunk folks at the Ironhorse Family Steampunk Carnivale.

We grabbed our goggles, parasols, top hats and corsets and jumped into our airship to head over to the Orange Empire Railway Museum on March 19th for an extraordinary festival celebrating the fantasy, history and ingenuity behind Steampunk. All of the steampunk participants were willing and able to pose in their glorious garb.

For those of you that don’t understand the whole Steampunk thing, here’s an explanation courtesy of Wikipedia:

“Steampunk is a subgenre of science fiction or science fantasy that incorporates technology and aesthetic designs inspired by 19th-century industrial steam-powered machinery. Although its literary origins are sometimes associated with the cyberpunk genre, steampunk works are often set in an alternative history of the 19th century’s British Victorian era or American “Wild West”, in a post-apocalyptic future during which steam power has maintained mainstream usage, or in a fantasy world that similarly employs steam power. Steampunk may, therefore, be described as neo-Victorian. Steampunk perhaps most recognizably features anachronistic technologies or retro-futuristic inventions as people in the 19th century might have envisioned them, and is likewise rooted in the era’s perspective on fashion, culture, architectural style, and art.”

Mission Inn Festival of Lights Photo Walk

Took a stroll down at the Mission Inn on the evening of December 16th with the Inland Empire Professional Photographers & Videographers Group. Always a beautiful sight. The LED lights were ablazin’ and selfies were being taken everywhere. And not to mention the kids at the skating rink having a great time! And of course since I was carrying the “professional” camera, people were stopping me everywhere to take their pictures with their cameras as I “must be knowing what I was doing since my camera was soooo big”!
